I am so saddened and shocked by the bridge collapse in Minneapolis. Minneapolis is a city I have held dear to my heart since I lived on the University of MN’s campus for 5 months during Andy’s stem cell transplant. Anybody who knows me know that I just beam when anyone brings up that city because even though it was a time of uncertianty for me, the people were so amazing and I loved everything about the city.

As soon as I heard about the accident I knew it had to be very close to where Andy and I lived. I am still in touch with some of my friends who were really like an extended family to me and I hope and pray that none of them or their families or friends were in the accident.

My prayers are with the twin cities today.
