UPDATE as of Fall 2010:

Our baby girl, Jocelyn Beatrice, arrived on July 26th, 2010. I am taking an open ended maternity leave and have not decided on a return date. I am currently not accepting clients, releasing pricing information or booking clients for a future date during my maternity leave. Thank you for your patience and consideration as I focus on my family during this precious time. Please continue to watch the blogsite for updates on my return to booking clients.

As of 6:10 PM today, I made my last product delivery and I am officially on my maternity leave! It will be more of a nesting leave for the next seven weeks as I still have time before King Baby 2.0 comes, but my client work is all wrapped up. Whew! I did it! A huge thank you goes out to all of my clients from this past year who also worked very hard to get their orders rounded up for me right in the nick of time.

So now let the nesting begin! I started cleaning out closets this week and John is prepping for paint in the kid’s rooms for this weekend. (Exciting! Wow, did I just say KIDS, as in plural? Yikes!)

My maternity leave is an open ended one with no set return date. I will be coming back, however I want to make sure my return to photographing clients is done at the right time for me and my family. I don’t want to put sessions on the calendar before I know how my body, the baby and our family are going to adjust to our new life of four. It’s really just as much taking care of my clients and making sure I’m at my best for them as it is for my family.

The baby days go by so fast so I really appreciate everyone’s patience as I as take my time opening my calendar back up. I will not be keeping a waiting list for future sessions during my maternity leave. I hope to have an update on my return on the blog this fall.

I will, however, continue my personal blogging and looking forward to be doing a lot more of that now that my professional work is all wrapped up for the season. So don’t go anywhere! If anything, come back more, because I will be!

P.S. The color of the socks in the photo is not a hint that we are having a boy. We still don’t know! When I got out Miles’ old newborn stuff for this baby I couldn’t resist getting them out just in case we do end up getting to use all the blue stuff again.
