same hat, different day

On a walk now…

…and then.

This was taken on September 4th, when Jocelyn was 6 weeks old. What a difference ten weeks makes to the way a hat fits, huh? She still loves to snooze during sunset walks though. It’s kind of neat how different the lighting was in the end of summer versus the beginning of winter with the cool pink hues in the first photo and the warmer sunset light on her in the second.

I remember with Miles, I was so unsure of myself as a new mom that I really wanted to rush through those beginning days. They seemed to go by so slowly at the time. Of course now, feeling more confident as a mom and seeing how grown up Miles is just makes life feel like it is speeding by so fast. I’m holding on so tightly right now, but of course knowing I have to hold these little beings as loosely as I can to still let them grow as well. That little hat won’t fit for much longer before it gets tucked away with all the rest of her tiny pink treasures. I’m just trying to soak it all up as much as I can.

Oh and by the way, I have switched my carrier to my Beco. Whew! What a difference that has made on my back.

More later, gotta get to bed, this obsessed momma is TIRED!

Wow, she has gotten so much bigger! I see a lot of Miles in her in that first one. I hope I get to snuggle her again soon!! 🙂

Is it just me or have even her lashes grown a ton in ten weeks?! She looks so cute & snuggly!

SO fun to see the difference time makes. Her lashes are gorgeous, but when you look at them versus the photo with no lashes, they look INCREDIBLE! I’m so glad you’re soaking it all in. It is all really such a gift.

if she needs a new hat to grow with her now let me know…I make them! 🙂

Funny that your confidence is growing now because it starts vanishing again when they get in there teens. My daughter is 17 now and I’m questioning every move I ever made. Hoping I did make all the right choices for her!
