the morning we got nothing done, except snuggling

Monday morning came as it usually does for us, sleepy and slow. It’s been cooler this week, so our thoughts stayed inside and Miles had his eyes only on Daddy. He wanted nothing but to be by John’s side and play cars or house with him. He was so precious and kept asking for more snuggles from Daddy, that John couldn’t resist. He played with him for a long time and then tried to create a little gated area in his office so Miles could feel like he was close to him while he worked. (There is NO way we can let Miles into either of our offices. Too many buttons and knobs to play with!)

Daddysmorning

John started out getting some work done via his iphone. Oh, and of course, the pugs can’t stay away from him either. If daddy sits down, he is COVERED with a pile of pugs and Miles. Miles didn’t care that John was reading a synthesizer manual, he just wanted to be on Daddy’s lap. (Let’s all say it together…AWWWWWWWWW!)

John finally made it into his office around noon. As I walked by, all I could see were Miles’ toes jutting out of the office as he played cars on the floor. Oh, and of course, the close-up of Miles is him asking for a “picture of you,” so he could see himself on the back of my camera. With that gate in the background he looks like he’s in a cage. 😉

Untitled 1

If you look closely at one of the photos, you’ll see Miles playing with a toy truck. That was delivered to our house that day by one of our neighbors who knew he would like it. Does this kid have the whole world wrapped around his finger or what?!

what sweet captured moments! my house seems to be a series of gates and we have often gotten creative with that same gate… and have the “caged” look images too! LOL

=) I wish I had better documented my kids’ lives while they were little as you are doing with Miles while he is so young. That way, when they got to be 11 and mad at me because I took their cell phone away, I could pull these out and go “awwwwwwwwwwwww” instead of giving them the “if you aren’t responsible enough to keep track of it” speech. Time goes too fast…..

Isn’t that so cool, to be able to juggle schedules around and bring work to the floor to play with them? Toddler enjoys helping me answer emails and stuff, too, as well as blogging. Its funny! I wouldn’t trade the work-at-home world for anything, even though it can be tricky/frustrating at times.
