the terror of christmas strikes again

Well, we have joined the ranks of parents who take their child to see Santa, only to traumatize them and take photos the whole time. I think actual time on Santa’s lap was about .5 seconds before he went for the safety of dad’s arms.

Don’t worry, within minutes he was fine and talking to his Kindermusik teacher, saying, “I love it!” about his music class.

Plus, Santa gave him a candy cane and he discovered that they are not only an ornament, but VERRRRRY good.

So all is well, and as we were strapping him into his carseat, we heard him say, “Bye bye, Santa.” So the damage doesn’t appear to be long term. 😉

That has got to be the most priceless photo! Makes me nervous to take my 14 month old son to see Santa, but we are going to do it anyway!

Merry Christmas from our family to yours.

Repeated visits, year after year is the trick. Ellie was almost 3 last Christmas and it took four visits last year before she wouldn’t cry. This year, we had to pry her off Santa’s lap! He’ll be fine with Santa in time.

    Priceless pic 🙂

Welcome to the “scared of Santa” club. Last year Olivia was terrified. I am anxious to see how she reacts this year. She says she wants to sit on his lap, but I have a hard time believing that is true. I think that every parent has to have the baby crying on Santa’s lap picture. Tell Miles he is not alone! 🙂

That is the skinniest Santa I have ever seen. Miles was just upset because he knew the bean pole was an imposter. 🙂

I love everything about this photo.

John smiling. Miles SCREAMING. Santa disappointed.

    It’s the perfect story-teller.

    Miss you guys 🙁

Oh gosh, this is hilarious! My little one had a similar reaction, but I didn’t get a photo!
