Video Night

Grab your popcorn! Tonight Miles is coming to you via video. One of the things Miles loves to do is turn the viewfinder screen around on the video camera so he can gaze at his own beautiful face. We, of course, think it’s hilarious. Please excuse Miles’ drooliness. The poor guy is teething. This video was taken today, after dinner. As always, my videos are always geared toward short attention spanned souls. So feel free to click, you aren’t getting yourself into a 5 min. download or anything.

Here’s some footage of Miles totally blowing past Water Exploration Level 1. Dude, who needs swimming lessons when you have a blown up whale and no fear? It’s a bit embarrassing, but you do hear me freak out in the first 5 seconds that Miles is drowning. John helped me chill. (My music choice in this video will totally show my age!)

Since this post is all about our little family, here’s a photo taken of us this past spring at our friend Sarah and John’s wedding in Atlanta. That was SUCH a great weekend and I have some great photos I want to share, so I’ll do that soon. Where did I get that dress, you ask? It’s Matilda Jane of course! (Check out her website and you’ll see my photography of her clothing, including some verrry familiar faces splashed throughout her awesomely fun site.) That dress was PERFECT for a steaming hot summer day. I wonder if I can get my hands on that dress in blue….

I LOVE this photo! I just ordered one for our mantle. Isn’t it fun when you go to a wedding and you discover that the photographer took a great photo of you? (Or at least just captured you there?) I CAN”T wait to release Cassie’s photos for her friends to see photos of themselves. Note: If you want to be photographed at a wedding, just go nuts on the dance floor. How do you think John and I manage to have so many photos of ourselves dancing? 😉 (Though Bobbi may chime in here to add that I have never actually purchased said dancing photos I am mentioning as she has captured a few at weddings she has shot. I did enjoy seeing them though and it’s fun to at least make the online proofing album.)

Good gracious I’m babbling as usual. I’m shushing now. Nighty night and thanks for checking out my videos.

Goodness, Miles has an infectious laugh! That cracked me up and no embarrassment on the water one, I would have done the same! Great family photo, Bets. Hopefully Steve will get some great ones of you guys at the wedding in October. I heard it’s going to be a fun one. xo

I’m not sure what’s sweeter…watching Miles crack up at his own image in the view finder, John peeking around the corner, or how much love the two of you have for your little one. Every child should be so lucky!

BTW, I’ve found my footing, and I’ve actaully had the chutzpah to charge my full amount for the last three sessions I’ve done. 🙂 Guess what? No one batted an eye and I didn’t melt into the sidewalk. 🙂

What adorable videos Betsy! Isn’t it funny how babies just loooooooooooove seeing themselves? I think Miles almost takes the cake though…or at least tied with my own little guy… 😉

Just wait till all he has on in a big pool is arm floaties and decides he’s brave enough to jump in allllll by himself. Omgoodness the freak outs that happened that day. (Cuz I mean, he’s only 18 months old!!)

Thanks for sharing with all of us!

Oh gosh- your little man IS fearless! He had me worried too for a bit! And you look fabulous in the MJ kimono dress, darling! (I love it as well, and have it in both celery and blue… come to think of it, I own the entire momma collection). I’m telling ya, we’ll be working together for Denise before you know it! 🙂

Hey:) Loved the videos AND the family portrait . . . what a HAPPY family~ I loved the first video of Miles with John peaking in the background on the floor . . . too funny! And, I swear if there was EVER a Best Smile Award it would go to John King! Seriously, he could make millions just doing toothpaste commercials (as a back-up of course). Is he ALWAYS happy??????? Thanks for sharing:) Take care!
