Oh how our family loves weddings. Our precious neighbors celebrated the wedding of their son yesterday, so we got to go and experience our first Bosnian wedding. Oh my goodness, what a blast! First things first, our scrappy little kiddos got all dolled up for the big event. They were super excited, especially Joss who got to wear tights for the first time. (Though you wouldn’t sense their excitement from this photo.)
John and I were like giddy freaks when we saw Joss all dressed up like a party princess. We couldn’t stop swooning over her cuteness. She loved her fancy shoes.
We were so excited to see the neighbor girls all dressed up as junior bridesmaids. All the guests wore matching wedding handkerchiefs, even the kids, to match the wedding party.
The kids danced and danced and I even tried a bit of traditional Bosnian dancing. (I could fake it for a little bit on the simple dances.) Jocelyn ADORED standing in the middle of the big circle dances and twirling. She’s not shy at all! I had to drag her from the wedding at 10:30 pm with Miles practically asleep on our shoulder. She could have danced till midnight!
We love weddings so much! The kids are seriously pretty awesome at them, considering there’s a lOT of quiet sitting and waiting at weddings. Bless them, they got the “good wedding attendance gene” somehow. The next wedding will be John’s brother Mark’s wedding, but we have a while to wait on that one. (Spring, 2014) Until then, I guess we’ll have to just practice our dance moves with kitchen dance parties and try to be patient. Much love to our neighbor’s growing family and many thanks to them inviting us!
I absolutely LOVE that dress that Jocelyn is wearing! It’s adorable & she looks soo cute! 🙂
Looks like you guys had a lot of fun! Emina and Medina look so pretty and Jossy and Miles look adorable as always! 🙂
