I’m taking a break from making big announcements (yes, another one to come soon!) to show what we woke up to today. Our first snow of the winter. Miles is finally old enough to really get into playing out in the snow and John was in heaven.
Miles’ earmuffs squish his cheeks and flatten his face into a square. It cracks me up.
Behold, a snowman only a mother could love. Before I realized those were rocks were eyes, I thought they had used rotten fruit! Poor Miles said he still needs a corn cob pipe. Sorry Miles, not sure we have a corn cob pipe laying around the house. I was quick to give up that scarf. It looked gorgeous in a newborn shoot once well over a year ago but the tiny hairs from it are STILL lodged in my camera body, even after a professional cleaning. (Thankfully, they aren’t doing any harm.) So that scarf can stay outside all winter for all I care!
Miles was very impressed. This age is so incredible. You see that look of wonder in his face all day long, especially this time of year. It’s the best thing ever.
Time to go in and have hot cocoa!
Have a great weekend!
Thanks for this, Betsy. I needed to smile after we’ve been told our flight would be delayed and we’d miss our connection flight to Seattle. This just melted all of that away…
So sweet!
that snowman would make a great christmas card….what a treasure.
What a great snowman!! I wanted to go out and build one yesterday, too. Miles has to be having so much fun!
Jealous. We didn’t get enough for a snowman. He’s just adorable all bundled up.
