an afternoon with vince & Brynn’s family

I’m trying out a new way to tell the story of my latest shoot for today’s blog post. So sit back and check out the story of Emily & Brett’s family.

It starts out with Brett & Emily, showing their snuggly side and their big loving smiles. Oh it warms my heart to see such happy parents! When you take away all the things that keep you running around all day, and you put the kids to bed at night, that time when it’s just the two of you brings you back to your center, reminding you of the sweetness that started your family. That’s what I thought of when I captured the photo on the right.

Here’s their adorable family, with Vince the doting big brother and Brynn, the sweet little sunshine in tow. Emily said she wanted photos of her family interacting and acting natural together. Well honestly, when you have a two year old, interaction is definitely what you get! Here Brynn is giggling with daddy and of course, you’ve got to love how she is peeking back at me as they walked to the pond.

Vince loves his little sister so much, it is so sweet to see him play with her and do things to help make her smile.

I figured Vince’s mp3 player is as much a part of their family as Vince is, so here you go, Vince and his earbuds.

Vince

And little Brynn, doing what two year olds do best, exploring…

Then showing a bit of her dramatic side, then her sweet side that melt’s daddy’s heart.

Here’s their slideshow with highlights of my afternoon with them, set to music by my husband, John.

Thank you so much to Emily, Brett, Vince & Brynn for being such a sweet family to work with. Have a great summer!

I like the new photo layouts. V. Nice! Also, are you the only photographer in the world who has an in-house composer?! That is Beyond Awesome! 🙂

Betsy – I am amazed by the images of our family! You’ve done a great job and I am thankful to you for capturing those sweet, innocent, beautiful faces of our children…and also for even “catching” Brett and I in a not-so-parental mode. 🙂 Your work always amazes me because of the richness in color and the perfect lighting that just seems to find you/your subjects. Seriously…who knew Brynn’s hair could look so auburn or Vince’s eyes so piercingly (yep, it’s a word…look it up, I dare ya)green! The slideshow was enough to make me just want to stop time and enjoy the kids as they are now – 10yrs and 2yrs are such intresting, complex ages for completely different reasons. Although some days I quietly wish that they would grow faster, stop doing this, start doing that, etc., the pictures make me realize how quickly the time passes. Heck…before we know it, I’ll be calling to book a session for senior pictures! Aaahhh! Truly, I love the pictures and had a wonderful experience getting to know and seeing your work!
