This shoot was for my good friend Gail’s upcoming new website. Holy smokes, I’ve already seen some of the mock-ups she has created with my photos and good gracious it’s going to be a cool site.

Before we check out her photos, let me just tell you that Gail is one cool chick. She is the expert on finding cool things on Etsy, knows about a bunch of great music I’ve never heard of, has great style, is super smart and way more well read than I could ever hope to be, but is a very REAL girl. No drama with her. She’s a breath of fresh air. She is one of two people that I send one sentence emails to about fifty times a day. We constantly lament the fact that we aren’t neighbors. In fact, we live about an hour and a half away from each other. (Pout) She still wants to hang out with me, even though I’m a mom that sneaks in stories about potty training and momma drama during our dinners out together. Oh, and she is the reason I have left the house without Miles most of the times this past year. It’s not something I would think to arrange on my own, and it’s not always easy, but she’s has helped keep that part of me that isn’t a mom or wife still alive and kicking inside. (Thanks Gail! Someday when you have a toddler, I’ll do the same for you!)
Ok, so now you know that’s she cool on the outside and in, let’s get to her photos. Gail wanted a clean, classic feel to her photos, but also fun loving. I think we achieved that.

Oh, and she threw in some sexiness to the shoot as well. OW!

My favorite memory of Gail is from my birthday slumber party, laughing hysterically like little girls while our friends Bobbi and Jess tried to sleep. So yea, we are the two last girls to fall asleep at a slumber party because we can’t stop giggling and telling stories.

Gail LOVES to read, and magazines are a huge source of inspiration for her. So we had to capture that part of her personality.

Check out her quick little slideshow for the whole story. I think Gail’s gorgeous smile is contagious. If you like what you see, leave a comment and say hello!
PS I categorized this shoot under “High School Seniors” in my categories, because it was shot in that same style, but you really don’t have to be a senior to have a shoot like this. Perhaps you feel like you have never had a good photo of yourself, are celebrating a big milestone birthday coming up, or celebrating some personal goal that you want to document as a special time in your life. You should totally consider having a photo shoot done. It’s fascinating to see how another person see’s you. I’ve had some women say, “Hey, I want a shoot like this!” in response to my high school senior photography. I say, “Go for it!” I have a few spots open this fall, so if you are curious, email me for my complete info.
