merry christmas!

It’s Christmas eve and the breakfast casserole and cinnamon rolls are made, ready to go into the oven early tomorrow morning. John is downstairs assembling a puppet theater that one of his brothers gave Miles and I just finished stuffing Miles’ stocking. (You should see the hilarious stuff we got him. I can’t wait to blog about it.) We are SOOOO excited for the morning, but also so freaking tired!!! It’s been a long day. Miles is fast asleep in his Christmas pajamas and I hope he doesn’t strip them off like he usually does in the middle of the night.

Since Christmas is finally here, I thought I would share our Christmas card with you. I had a lot of fun designing our card this year. I decided to embrace the whimsy of the apple orchard and give our card a vintage feel with lots of textures. It was fun trying a new style that is different from what I usually do. For my online photographer friends that might be curious, it was sent on a 5×7 flat card with a pearl finish.

Ok, John is done assembling, gotta run. Time to go make the living room full of Christmas magic! Oh my goodness, the sight of a tree with all the presents laid out underneath is just the BEST. It feels like I have been going, going, going all month, (minus my face down in the couch moments) so I’m very much looking forward to sitting on the couch with my cinnamon roll in the morning and watching Miles go nuts with his gifts. That’s my Christmas wish! Hope your Christmas wish(es) come true too! Have a wonderful morning!

Amy from Cali - I received a card this year with the pearl finish. I started looking into it and found you have to send it to a press printer. Everything I found online was outrageously expensive (I was looking into it for a funeral program keepsake thing I had to make). Can I ask if you found a source that wasn’t crazy expensive?
