For the first time in a very long time I have a sneak peek to share. No, I’m not back to taking clients full time or even part time yet, but I have been taking what I like to call “projects” in my studio to keep my artistic side satiated and see how work fits into life with a family of four. Escaping to my studio for a couple hours feels like a huge luxury these days. Recently I had the honor of flexing my photography knuckles on these two precious boys. These two might look very familiar to a large corner of the internet world. Yes, these two little cuties are Joe and Gabe, the sons of the brain behind Matilda Jane Clothing here in Fort Wayne.

The timing of their sneak peek popping up today couldn’t be any better because over on the Matilda Jane’s blog is a fundraiser for a photographer named Val, who recently lost her husband to cancer. The fundraiser for her is an auction of seriously the coolest stuff the internet could come up with. The items are amazing. It warms my heart to see so many people banding together to help this woman and her two children during what I know personally to be the darkest time of one’s life, next to dealing with cancer itself.

The auction, which has photography actions, photography workshops, clothing, doll clothing, hair pretties, photo shoots by awesome photographers, quilts, very hard (dare I say impossible?) to get your hands on Bamboletta dolls, The Pioneer Woman books, a girl’s getaway, the list goes on and on. It’s pretty mind blowing what the ladies over at Matilda Jane have put together. Seriously.
