Every year, the weeks leading up to a birthday are a whirlwind of busy preparations balanced amongst the everyday crazy of our lives. I just wanted to take a minute to soak up Jocelyn in her last days of being “one” as we near her second birthday. We hear over and over from friends what a lovable little girl she is, and of course, we agree! She’s so cuddly, so happy, brave and easy going. She’s just an absolute joy. She has taken a liking to Hello Kitty lately, so we are preparing for a Hello Kitty party this weekend. Below you’ll see my first attempt at a tissue paper Hello Kitty. I now need to paint my big Hello Kitty face as it’s tradition to have some form of “Pin the tail on the donkey” at every party we throw. This year it will be pin the bow on Hello Kitty. It’s going to be a busy week. (Plus, I’m photographing my first birth any day now!) So busy week it will be! As much as I can’t wait to celebrate with her, I am relishing these last days of her still being my little one year old baby.
