a tour of miles’ big boy bedroom

My nesting urge has been split (or perhaps multiplied) between the nursery and Miles’ big boy bedroom. The nursery is still getting wrapped up, but I’m finally ready to share Miles’ big boy room with you! Come and take a look around… It’s still a pretty minimalist room, with some shelves, wall hooks and eventually… Related Posts Plugin for WordPress, Blogger...

WOW Bets, I am blown away….you’re such a GOOD mama. Those posters are just PERFECTION and a totally brilliant idea. I get goosebumps thinking about him having those someday as a grown man- and knowing that his parents lovingly took the time to make them. MAN-O-MAN….GOOD STUFF!!!

As far as his room as a whole, it looks fantastic. I would say the only thing to add would be a fun, colorful kiddo rug. It would just add that final “FUN” flair. But bravo to you on your super nesting powers!! I remember my INSANE nesting instinct…what I would give for 10% of that gumption right about now. 😉

I think it looks great! My favorite part is all the book covers. I was a huge reader as a kid (my husband teases me for being part of the library’s summer reading program), and I see so many of my old favorites! LOVE that he’s reading Shel Silverstein; I still have a lot of those poems memorized. 🙂

Oh Betsy!!!! His room is so adorable!! I am in LOVE with those posters! I saw that on Ohdeedoh and it made me so excited for Avram to start finger painting and coloring. Have you seen those hanging fabric bookshelves on that website, too? That might be a fun idea on a wall to add some patterns and to show off some more of his book collection.

We still have Amy & Jonathan’s Christmas card up on our fridge (and yours, too!), and every morning when Avram and I do our little walking tour of the apartment I always point out their picture. Amy certainly has a lot of little people who adore her 🙂

This is amazing!!! I’m a huge fan of children books too. If you want to do something creative for Miles growing up, get him the book, “Oh the Places You Will Go” and secretly have his teachers write something in it every year he goes to school. Give it to him when he graduates high school. 🙂

I love the post idea! You are very smart! And I wish I had thought of framing the book covers, I did take them off, but I don’t know where I put them 20 yrs. ago! Miles’ room is great! I love that bed. I think my craft room is the same colour.

Holy Bananas super Momma!!!! Those posters are unreal, will you mind if you end up with copy cats all over the world?! Or in MN?! HA! Literally, and I am ashamed to say this as a comment on a post of such a cool kids room, my son’s room has nothing on the walls. Except a baby quilt my Mom made before she passed, which is very special, but I need to complement it with some fun prints or framed somethings. 😉 AWESOME ideas!!!

Never be ashamed of the ikea. 😉 hehehehe I agree, I love the simplicity.

So cute! Framing the book covers is SUCH a fantastic idea. I have a whole stack of them just sitting around & now I finally know what to do with them. Thanks for the inspiration 😉

I am soooo missing seeing Miles these days! And darn you, Betsy… I did it again! About an hour and a half later, I am taking off from the blog! I couldn’t let the pictures of Miles and his new room pass without letting you know how great they look! I love what you did with all of his artwork and made it easy to keep forever! I’ll be popping in again fairly soon and waiting to see 2.0 and the rest of the family escapades!
