Abby wanted her senior photos in a country setting since she grew up and lives surrounded by woods. She just so happens to live minutes away from where I grew up as well, so I felt right at home stomping around the woods with her. I would love to tell you that we had to walk to the deepest part of the woods to find this awesome tree, but it’s right in her front yard. I love how the light is coming in behind her and it’s on her beautiful face.

Speaking of beautiful faces. HELLOOO beautiful! Her look here is so timeless. Abby has the serious look for photos DOWN. (Her best friend is a photographer so she gets lots of practice.)

I saw this mossy log and it reminded me of her amazing green eyes. Bless Abby for laying down on a wet mossy log on a cold April day in a sleeveless top.;-)

Here’s one of my favorites from the day.

It’s kind of hard to get that “looking off into a distance” look without just looking like your staring at nothing. There are so many things I can imagine her thinking at this moment and it’s perfect. Oh, and thank you wind for blowing that gorgeous hair for me.

Raise your hand if you are getting bangs after you read this post. I was SOOO tempted to do it after shooting her. Can you believe someone told her not to get them? Love them and everything about her hair.

The first tiny wildflowers were peaking out that afternoon so I couldn’t resist having her just lay down in them.

Abby and I had been to a couple of different woods, a little barn on the side of the road, an underpass and a nature preserve. We were pretty cold and wore out by this point, but I always have a hard time wrapping up shoots and as I really just want to keep shooting. So we were just about to get in the car and head home when I saw these cool metal things in someone’s yard near the road. Glad I saw them because I think it was a cool spot with some neat texture to add to the photo. Oh and P.S. Abby has modeled for Vera Bradley and for some other pieces around town. Surprised?

I think I mentioned this in her sneak peek, but she is just as beautiful and sweet on the inside as she is on the outside. I had a great time shooting Abby and honestly, had it not been so cold out that day, I just would have kept going until I ran out of cards. Bless her too, I was recovering from a cold and so between me shooting above her and the temps, I was a sniffling fool. So bless you Abby for putting up with my sniffles.
