Here’s my latest final images for my new friend Betsy and her oh so adorable family. You will notice, when you aren’t amazed at how photogenic these kids were, that the property we were shooting was beautiful. Let me list all the awesome things we got to shoot on and around: an awesome tree swing, a pond, a big grassy field with trees changing colors, a corn field jussssst before it was harvested, a winding gravel lane, a stone wall, beautiful setting sun, oh and a family of kids having a blast and totally into it. (Yippee!) John and I have fun at every single one of our shoots, but this one, with all the amazing things going on at this location, was a utopia for photographers. There was a moment that I felt like I was shooting an ad for Gap Kids because these kids were working the camera so instinctually. (I have such an active imagination.) So you go “Betsy’s Family!” (If you can’t tell, we are kind of loving it that we both have the same name.)
Alright, enough babbling from me, here’s their slideshow.
Here are some photos for the instant gratification crowd not patient enough for the slideshow. I don’t post the ones where everybody is looking at the camera, since you can see those in the slideshow.
I’m a HUGE dog lover, so I couldn’t resist starting out with this little gem.
I know, I know, everybody is probably tired of my leg shots, but I’m not! 😉 Don’t worry, I got TONS, and tons of photos of each of the kids, I just liked how little Grace looks here and cozy the family looks.
Bless these kids, jumping out of corn at this point in the season is not as easy as it looks. It’s like busting through a wall of sandpaper strips.
John and I forgot how much kids LOVE playing in corn fields.
John shot a whole series focusing on each child while I shot them from the front, as you’ll see in the slideshow. I LOVE that he did that. He’s such a smarty.
Thanks again to Betsy & Jim for bidding on us at the FWMA’s gala last winter. Shooting your adorable family literally felt like just hanging out with old friends for an evening, even though we had only met briefly once before. We can’t wait to see you again and yes, next time we are bringing Miles. He will GO NUTS running, running, running all over your beautiful yard and playing with your kids. (We wouldn’t see him for days if I let him loose in that corn field though!)
Keep on scrolling to the next post as this is my second post for the evening. I should space my posts out, but lately, I gotta get my thoughts out as they happen or they don’t get out at all!
i think my favorite hands down is the one of the whole family on the swing -not looking at the camera – I love pictures like that! what a great place to spend and shoot the day away!
lovin the corn field!!! sandpaper, yow i bet their skin is all exfoliated and soft now. wow, i can’t believe i just said that 🙂 well, i love em!!
Bets- the photo of the youngest girl in the corn absolutely took my breath away! BEAUTIFUL!
These are all amazing! What a gorgeous family and I love the cornfields! Oh, and I never get sick of the legs picture.
Oh my gosh I think I would be scared to death in a cornfield after being scarred for life by “Children of the Corn”!
Gorgeous, gorgeous pictures!
The corn shots rock! I love the one that you can just see the girl with everyone else! Awesome!
