I just had to share that I am now almost a full week into caffeine detox and despite the fact that I a walking zombie right now, I’m still rockin the decaf tea. Yea for me.
However, I don’t count chocolate as caffeine (we all have our rule breaking beliefs, right?) so I just freebased about 32 m&m’s. (Those were a part of my anniversary surprise. More on our awesome anniversary later when I’m feeling a bit more peppy.) So I guess it’s not much of a detox, but I’m getting there.
Because there is now way I would ever show my face right now, this is basically what my caffeine detox feels like:
Thanks for the dramatization, Miles.
I suppose if I had to show a photo of myself, it would be this one. The green color shows my lack of the essential nutrient caffeine. If you can’t tell, every time I cut caffeine out of my diet I always have to re-convince myself that I really want to do it. It’s been about three years since I have had to quit caffeine, so I had forgotten how hard it is.
Tonight we have music class at 6 PM allllll the way across town, so I need to start dinner here soon if we can have any hope of getting out of the house on time this week. Blogging usually peps me up, and I have to say, it did help me for feel better.
Thanks for popping by!
when i went and stayed with my brother’s family, i went through major caffeine withdrawal as they do not drink coffee at all. it was a serious struggle. i think my morning coffee is what keeps me from napping in the afternoons because i napped hard while i was there. good luck with the detox–a clean life is overrated. 😉
why in the world are you quitting coffee???? unless you’re PREGNANT!!!!!! there’s some good gossip for the blogosphere! 😉
are you preggers??? if you are… i can sense…
