new shoes for the boys

John got a new pair of sneaks last night while we were out on the town for our anniversary (again, more on that later) and Miles’ new pair of See Kai Run shoes finalllly came in the mail today. They are a PERFECT fit and the cutest thing ever. The best thing is, they aren’t big heavy clunky shoes. (Some are into structured baby shoes, I’m more into the lightweight flexible kind.) Don’t you LOVE them? They are like little suede retro bowling shoes. I can’t wait until he gets them broken in a bit more.

Is anybody surprised that Miles LOVES his new shoes? I’m in love that they fit and don’t squish his chubby little feet.

This was after our music class tonight which after trying it for two weeks has ended up being a big ‘ol dud. We are quitting that class because there are 7 week old babies in there with him and despite the teacher being as sweet as can be, it’s a totally unorganized session of singing songs that no one knows and can’t find the words to the songs on the 16 different sheets of papers she handed out. Miles is cool as long as we are singing, but the minute our teacher starts talking about whatever else or how she doesn’t know what to do with the last ten minutes of the class, Miles is running out the door. If we wanted an unorganized class we would stay home. Plenty of unorganized time there! Another funny thing is, we paid extra (like an entire session fee extra) just so we could have two spouses there. So it’s kind of doubly annoying. So, serendipitously, Kindermusik, has their first fall class tomorrow morning. (Hate to be a quitter on the other class but it’s literally like 40 minutes away and Kindermusik is 4 min. away. Win-win!) We are hoping it’s a better fit. Wish us luck! The hilarious thing is, as much as we are going for music, Miles would probably REALLLLLY love to just run and run and kick a ball around. I’m sure we’ll be forced to do that someday, but for the love of God, let’s just put that off as long as we can.

So despite the class being a bummer, Miles had a blast running around afterward and remembering the school had that fun tunnel like structure, I brought my camera along. Miles’ shoes are aptly called, See Kai Run. That’s what we do all day, is SEE MILES RUN!

Nighty night, I have a ton more to say, but have to get to bed. Stay tuned, awesome stuff coming on the blog soon! John’s got some fun stuff up his sleeve I can’t wait to share. It’s just not quite ready yet.

Is that Lane Middle School you were at? I recognize it because we live so close. Sorry the music class was a bummer. Was it through the Parks Dept.? Let me know what you think of the Kindermusik program once you start. I have always been interested in that. Have a great weekend!

Those shoes are so fun! And I know a really awesome podiatrist who will agree with you on using flexible shoes while the little kiddos are young. Beauty and function…what more could you ask for.
