Denise’s Valentine card

Denise, of Matilda Jane Clothing, sent out THE CUTEST Valentine’s day cards this year. She used photos from our last two photo shoots (Both of the shoots just so happened to be within the same 30 days of each other which was a HUGE compliment to me.) and they are beautiful. Between a super cool Valentine Card template from Image Garden Designs, (they have SWEEEET cards) the help of one of Denise’s photographers for Matilda Jane, Michelle (who you must check out because she is amazing) and the pearlescent paper, it turned out AWESOME. (There were some SUPER creative people in on this project! Too bad we were all spread out across the country. We could have some FUN together!) Denise did a great job combining the photos from both of our shoots too. I wish I could take more credit for this adorable project but all I did was the photos. : )

I thought it was such a cool card, I had to snap some shots. This reminds me when I was a kid of how I would take a picture of a picture (in the Polaroid days) to make a “double” for myself. Yea, I had a crush on Jim Baldwin in the third grade (which, by the way, he gave me my very first Valentine outside the obligatory classroom ones and he was even a FOURTH grader. Swoon!) and a friend of mine got a photo of him on the last day of school so I took a picture of the Polaroid she took. Boy, talk about a disappointment when I got that roll of film developed. Thankfully my photography skills, or at least the camera I’m using, has increased in quality since then. It was a bit difficult to get a photo of it because the light reflects so much off he light parts of the pearlescent paper, but you get the idea.

Without further ado, here’s the card I’m raving about:

Have a great weekend everybody. We are off to a video game philharmonic thing at the Embassy tonight. Sounds like a nerd’s hot date night, huh? 😉 That’s us!
