This photo was literally, the first photo taken of 2008.
Look closely and you can see his one little tooth! I didn’t do my usual black and white process on this photo as I’m in the middle of a software update, so it might look a bit different.
Not much time or energy to blog tonight. My dear friend, Amy Conner was home and in town so I met her for dinner with some of our awesome friends and then we saw Juno (me, for the second time.) I cried three times again and then cried the whole way home because I miss Amy so much. She’s leaving tomorrow for school and it hurts my heart to say goodbye so quickly and that Miles can’t see her. I’m getting choked up again thinking about it. There is just something really important to me about Miles getting to be in Amy’s presence. She is so AMAZING with children, such a special person in my life and I just want Miles to always know her. She’ll be home from Princeton again soon, so I need to stop blubbering. I just get sad because two of my dearest and BFF’s live out of town. (Yes, I’m talking about you Diane!) It stinks!
I have made some really amazing new friends this year though and the majority of them live in Fort Wayne. Yippee! (And concentrated in a super cool neighborhood that I may someday get to move into.) Speaking of the super cool neighborhood,we spent New Years with some of them last night and had a great start to the new year. We played this awesome new game that I’ll have to blog about that I got to use some of my dramatic writing skills at. Though, everybody totally caught on to my style pretty quickly. Darn. Anyway, I’m REALLY, REALLY excited about 2008. It’s going to be an awesome year.
Ok, I’m off to bed. I could have just let another day go by without a new blog, but I had to get the year started off right with at least a photo of Miles for the grandparents and a little babbling from me. (Even if it’s so late, that it’s not still Jan. 1)
Happy New Year everybody!!!
There’s an old Arabic saying that goes, “One who loves their friends…lives a happy life.”
Or is it “greets the sunset with a smile?” Or wait- maybe it was something like, “sees the path clearly.” LOL. Whatever the saying may be, I say a big happy new year to you, John, and of course that little cutie pie. 🙂
Love, Erin
