Today our precious Miles turns five. Oh what a wild ride it’s been with this hilarious boy. Miles, we love you so much. We love your wild imaginative spirit, your sensitive heart, your scary smart brain and the sweet, loving boy who wants us to snuggle him to sleep every night. This is my last winter having you home on Tuesdays and Thursdays without any school to go to and I feel myself holding on so tightly as you find new ways each day to fly free. Next year will be kindergarten where my heart is already praying that you get a teacher that sees the gold in your independent spirit.

Today I find myself looking at these photos of you and falling in love with you all over again, like I do each day.
