it’s alllll good

Ok, so it’s no secret that I”ve been crazy stressed lately. I wear my heart on my sleeve and let’s face it, on Twitter too. (Not that everybody follows me on Twitter or anything.) I had some stuff going on for a couple of weeks and it all dumped on me at once and it wasn’t awesome. It put a damper, to put these lightly, on my favorite Halloween, so that wasn’t cool that I let stress take over my favorite time of year like that. But you know, it happens. So, I’ve been working hard to get my act together (and adding a few coping mechanisms) and I’m feeling back to my old self now. However, just as I was feeling better I heard some friends say things like, “I was going to stop by, but I didn’t want to stress you out…”

Yikes! I know I’ve been a drama queen lately, but no need to go running from me! 😉 However, I’m not surprised, I mean, who wants to bother a hornet’s nest? So since I have been flipping out online, I figured I should do a public, “I’m cool now” announcement and get things back to normal.

So I’m fine. Commence emails, calls, comments, and random pop ins to my house, if you wish. (Though just because I’m now less stressed, this does not mean my house will be much cleaner that it ever was.)

Here’s a bit of what has helped chill me out and bring my perspective back over the last handful of days.

My sweet, funny, quirky pugs make me smile every single day. They have been working overtime lately to cheer me up and I couldn’t help but take a picture, to make it last longer.

Here’s John, attempting to show Miles the proper way to hold his toy guitar, so that he could play it like a violin, but with a clothes hanger “bow.” (By the way, if you bring up violins to Miles, he will tell you that a violin’s bow is made of horse hair. He’s kinda like that kid on Jerry McGuire who would say random facts, like how the human head weighs 8 lbs…or whatever.) Is anyone else cracking up at how totally “into” playing the “violin” John appears here? Imagination runs thick in my house.

Pancake breakfasts where Miles hops in your lap to steal the rest of your pancakes. Oh he looks so mischievous here!

What a little snuggle puppy.

That is TOTALLY one of those photos of John where if he didn’t love you so much he’d be like, ‘BETSSSSYYYYYYYYYY!’

Too, too cute. Next time I stop by (and I will ;), I’ll ask Miles the difference between a violin and viola. I TOTALLY expect him to know the difference. HA!

I can TOTALLY relate. I wear my heart on my sleeve as well…when I’m stressed to the max, it shows. Glad you’re doing better. Adorable pictures!

I had a friend tell me something like that recently too. Wow, it puts things in perspective doesn’t it? So hard with these businesses to not just so consumed by them and stressed out! Hoping the good vibes continue and less stress is on it’s way to you!
