paul’s super sneak peak and a bit of miles too

We had a senior photo shoot today and I couldn’t help myself posting some instant gratification. Paul was my first senior guy to shoot and he was so laid back, sweet as can be and of course, and I’m going to totally embarrass you Paul, but GORGEOUS. I heard a little rumor that Paul’s hairdresser thinks he needs to go to modeling school. Um, how about TEACH modeling school? ; ) Here are a few that caught my eye. I still need to finish processing the rest.

Paul plays the drums, so you can’t very well bring a drum set along, but the sticks were able to come along easily. (Though we kept dropping them with our freezing hands.) John and I call this photo “The James Dean One.”

While I was changing lenses John captured Paul killing time by drumming on the wall. John’s such a smarty to capture that!

So I had Paul go down this creepy staircase connected to some building that was FILLED with the most disgusting trash ever. Bless his heart! (In my defense, I did go down it first myself.) He was so up for anything. And notice the shorts? Yep, in 45 degree weather. I love that he was workin out the multi-seasoned outfit changes.

Remember the drum sticks? We got an impromtu Stomp concert.

There are more where these come from, but these are just the ones I couldn’t go to bed without sharing. Oh, I almost forgot! Does Paul look familiar? His sister is a big time blog veteran and pretty soon his whole family will be on here.

So because I always have to post a random photo of Miles, here’s one to show just how freakin cold our lovely spring has been here in Indiana. This was on a walk before our trip a week or so ago. It’s the big “Christmas Story” snow suit that Miles can now walk in. It’s HILARIOUS. He looks and walks exactly like the stay puff marshmellow man and he’s SUPER snuggly in that velor get-up. He’s like a big cuddly bear in it.

Oh and I had to add this one, though ignore the weirdness of my part in this photo. 😉

The pugs were barking inside because they wanted out, so here’s Miles kind of freaked out and doing this new “cling to my leg” thing. I think his little face is just precious here! (BTW, as Miles grows, I’ll try to teach him that if he’s going to cling to my leg and look adorable, that could he please try to do it facing the light for photos? ha ha, Could you imagine having a kid always looking for flattering light? It would be like living with Paris Hilton or an America’s Next Top Model contestant. Which, btw Totally STINKS this season. UGH!)

Thanks for tuning in. Oh, and BTW, since I had some people ask, my birthday surprise was flowers,a pre-arranged babysitter of John’s best friend Chris, a HUGE sushi dinner out for me and John, and a big fat gift certificate for spa stuff. (I’m so easy to shop for. Spa treatments win EVERY time.) Oh, and afterwards, because I’m such a dork, John took me to Target, where I could stroll to my heart’s content and we bought the pugs a new dog bed. Which, of course, they love. Thanks John! I had a great birthday! Thanks for making me feel so special. Bring on 33! So far so great!!

Ok, enough of my late night free association babbling. My BFF Diane is coming to town tomorrow to visit so I better get to bed because we will be up all night talking, I just know it.

BETSY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! oh my goodness!! these are a-ma-zing!! he looks so grown up though, i don’t know how i feel about that. you totally captured him—his expressions, his personality, everything. i can’t wait to see more. i’m not gonna lie, i’ve been checking your blog hourly since i got home tonight. 🙂

i also love that you can see the scar on paul’s left cheek from when our demon-possessed cocker spaniel attacked him when he was a little kid. that scar gives him so much personality, i love it.

strolling endlessly through target sounds like such a wonderful birthday present…what a wonderful place.

you and john are so wonderful and kind and creative.

Gosh, I wish you’d been around when I had MY senior pics taken…except…well, we were about the same age. That probably wouldn’t have worked as well. Those are GREAT pics though, of Paul and of Miles. I still just adore his cheeks!

also – the best presents i get is if we are out on a date to be able to walk the keystone mall – sans kids. it reminds me of a simpler time with just ryan and i, so amen to the Target time!!! glad you had fun!

ok, so check it out…i’m so excited to show you this! it’s the video i did for my nephew’s birthday…nothing super major fantastic, as my time was limited by work…but i am still loving it.

unfortunately, logan did not cry this time. instead, when it was done she announced she did not want to watch foster’s video again. lol so, as you guessed, no video of her tearing up on this one. haha
