pretty great day

Today was a pretty great day. I headed out with Miles to go visit a couple of friends today which included the bonus of coffee and a warm gooey cinnamon roll. Oh, and seeing one of my dearest friends Amy Conner who is in town about as often as an eclipse happens. šŸ˜‰ (I do love my eclipses, but I get way more excited when AC is in town!) After my awesome afternoon out I came home, took some photos, went on a walk with my fam (FINALLY our mute neighborhood is starting to come alive again. Itā€™s about time!), made some chocolate cupcakes (that are CRAZY delicious) and watched a movie with John. (Watching a movie with John involves pug snuggling too, which is a big bonus.) I also wrapped a baby gift for a little girl on the way. Oh, fun stuff! Little baby GIRL stuff! Very fun and very foreign to me.

Then, we hopped online and saw this amazing post from Bobbi. WOW! I mean, we love our little guy, but to hear a person not related to you going nuts about your kid feels pretty awesome. Check out this awesome tribute to our little guy Miles. And all because he uttered one little word. šŸ˜‰ click here to see some MAJOR blog love for Miles. Letā€™s see if Bobbi will then post a link to this blog and we can just keep it a never ending chain of blog love going. Ha! JK. (Thatā€™s just kidding, not John King, in case you were confused.) Sorry, thatā€™s the dumbest inside joke I have with, like, three people. (So hopefully 3 people are out there laughing, right? Sweet. It was worth it then.)

Ok, to continue the blog love for Miles. Iā€™m going to post a random photo that is actually part of a longer blog post, but itā€™s super late and bed is calling. (Or is that another chocolate cupcake calling my name?) By the way, hereā€™s Miles showing his ā€œBobbiā€ smile showing his lower teeth. Love it!

And hereā€™s Bobbi showing those lower teeth I keep speaking of with her friend Heather. (BTW, Bobbi blogged a million years ago about her smile and how she shows all of her teeth, so Iā€™m so not singling her out.)

Such cuties! If you have ever wondered if photographers all know each other, it feels like itā€™s true. The world of photography has been this amazingly open, nice and helpful place. I have been BLOWN away by the generosity and kindness of people that without their help, I would not be doing what Iā€™m doing at the level that I am. THANK YOU SO MUCH Miss Bobbi and also, while Iā€™m thanking people, a big thanks goes to Rachel too. Ok, Iā€™m shushing. I could go on and on!

PS I should be getting some clients on here soon. Spring is coming so that means I have some high school seniors and some people in love coming out of hibernation soon to hang out in front of my lens. So keep a look out for some non-Miles faces this spring. Also, anybody in Fort Wayne interested in a spring portrait special? I donā€™t offer photos with bunnies like another little studio in town, but I can offer sessions with two adorable (albiet, stinky) pugs. I would be careful signing up for the ā€œpug optionā€ because the have been known to take over a photo shoot. They are quite the attention hogs.

I am definitely one of those people who clicked your link on Bobbi’s website, continuing the chain! Your son is just adorable, and I loved hearing him say Bobbi’s name! You are both so talented, and I will be back to this blog soon! Thanks!

What an adorable picture of Miles! I don’t think I’ve said anything to you or Erin yet (I could’ve last night and forgot) but these legwarmers for the little ones are cracking me up! Is this a new thing or some sort of growing trend that I just am oblivious too without a kid of my own? haha

Great seeing you guys last night…have a great week!
