happy birthday mom!

Mom came over today for some Miles lovin for her birthday. (What an awesome gift I could give her, right?) Miles wasn’t so into posing for photos today. He’s too busy showing us how he can walk across the room. (Yippee!) For the first time Miles did the “I’m going to hide behind Mom’s legs” when my mom came over. So that’s totally new. Another new thing is Miles has become TOTALLY attached to this hand crocheted little blankie, so that thing is a precious commodity. I might be looking into bribing some friends to knit me some back ups just in case that one comes missing we will be out of luck.

As much as Mom LOVES Miles, the pugs were her first grand babies. If you think I’m kidding, just look at this embrace! My whole family is nutty about my pugs. BTW, we call Whisper the invertebrate pug because of her squishiness. Doesn’t she look positively boneless here? Oh and see Whisper’s little “cow udder-like” belly? When Whisper shakes, like to get water off her body or just for fun after she has been sleeping, her belly flab slaps together and make the most awesome “flabity flabity” sound.

That was probably TMI (Too Much Information) but hey, it seriously is awesome and hilarious. When ever we hear it, which is like once a day if we are lucky, we bust out laughing. Ahhhh, our life is strange.

Coming up soon: photos from Renee’s baby shower and of course more of Miles.

Time for bed for me. I’ve had a busy week and it’s only Tuesday!

You crack me up…flapity ! is that a real word? I love you so much…and yes, I would hurry over and hold those pugs for hours. They were just the size of the palm of my hand. And remember the birthday party I had for them, while you and and Andrew were working? Being with Miles was where I wanted to be on the big “65”. and I am not getting any older, just better. MOM
