Today we got the big stuff moved into our studio space and a few things on the wall. Considering we just got the keys yesterday, we are still a work in progress, but figured I would give you a little sneak peek of what’s happening over on Broadway. (The studio is a few doors down from Mad Anthony Brewery on Broadway.) These were taken after the sun went down before we headed home. (Photographers forgive me, I’m tired and I can’t say the white balance on these photos all match!)

The area that is most done, is our meeting space area for John and I to meet with clients. First of all, I have to show you the rug I found that I just LOVE. John and I don’t always agree on decorating stuff, but when I showed him this rug he LOVED it. We both totally agree.

Here’s the meeting space, minus a coffee table, which I’m still shopping for. This photo doesn’t do the canvases justice. You get the idea though. The canvases are 20×30’s with a 30×40 in the middle. (The canvas in the middle is the same size we just got for above our bed.) There’s another 30×40 photo to the left of the meeting area too. I have more fun pillows up my sleeve for the couch, but those are just for shoots, so you’ll have to keep your eyes open for those. The walls are a clean white, but at night, it’s hard to show that with lamp light.

Here you can see how the walls are a bright, clean white and you’ll notice our floors are VERY vintage. Our studio space used to be a warehouse and it dates back to at least the 20’s, so the floors have LOTS of character. These canvases will go up on John’s side of the space where his desk is. You can see a bit of the exposed brick walls too. It was so dark tonight that I didn’t get to take a photo of the brick wall yet.

Of course, since we were buying canvases in bulk we had to get some of Miles!

Speaking of our little guy, Miles got to play on John’s keyboard today, which was unplugged and waiting for the movers this morning. So Miles had an imaginary concert. Apparently, he was playing some INTENSE music!
