I got to get away this weekend to go visit a dear friend for 24 hours to do some crafting for the baby and I got to sew a sweet little stack of baby blankets. Just having an open ended amount of time to stroll through a fabric store was luxurious enough, let alone the opportunity to be creative in another way. It was a GREAT weekend. It has definitely jumpstarted a nesting urge that was already bubbling just under the surface. I CAN’T wait to get back to the machine and do more baby sewing! AHHHHHHH, the baby has stolen my brain and I need it back to get work done!
I would love to continue discussing this, but John is standing at the office door “yell whispering” to me to go to bed, so I can’t blog photos of the sweet little goodies I got to make, but here’s a little peek at one of the fabrics I chose for a baby blanket. Isn’t it ADORABLE?
It’s so fun. I keep finding new little pictures or phrases every time I look at it. Even though the little blankies and burp cloths I made are for the baby, Miles is trying one out right now giving it lots of extra snuggles as he sleeps tonight. (awwwwwwww!)
As much as I would LOVE to just sit and sew baby goodies all day, I HAVE A LOT of stuff to get done before my maternity leave. I can’t get that done without sleep, so I have to go. I’ll be back with more baby blanket pics soon.
Oh and by the way, is it Monday again already? Holy cats…..
im in love
