video update

My iphone died in a tragic fall a couple weeks ago and not one to be out of a phone, I ran out and got a new one. This time it was a jump to the iphone 4. You would think this would be a time for celebration, but John and I have been waiting for the iphone 5 to come out (and truth be told, a better time financially) to upgrade from our iphone 3 dinosaurs, so having a shinier and faster phone without John along for the ride makes me feel very guilty.

However, he is thrilled with all the awesome video I have been getting with it though as it’s such a great gift to our family down the road to document this precious time. Yea, we had a video camera before, but you have your phone with you all the time, plus my iphone “talks” with my Mac so much better than my pc friendly video camera. In a nutshell, iphones are the most amazing thing, especially for people that love to archive their life.

The kids are growing by leaps and bounds, so there’s been a lot to capture. Here’s some videos I’ve captured:

Miles had this push toy when he was little and we thought he looked like a hot dog vendor walking down the street with it. The hot dog cart lives on with Jocelyn. She wasted no time giving it a whirl and I was able to video her first time playing with it. At one point she actually PICKS IT UP. This girl is a little dynamo and yes, it won’t be long until she is taking her first steps. (CRAZY!) Oh and of course you can hear me talking through the whole thing, which I hate now, but hopefully the kids will like someday.

Here’s Miles at this “Sports Galore” class. They were trying to teach him to not throw the ball under handed, but he was making a basket every time that way, so I’m sure in his mind, he didn’t want to fix what wasn’t broken. He loved explaining each shot to his coach, which cracked us up because the coach does his best to listen.

This video is 5 seconds long, but we caught Jocelyn standing while holding a box. We continue to be amazed by her fast forwardness to being a toddler.

This one is purely for the grandmas. It’s just Miles at his sports class.

As usual I have lots to say, but gotta run. I’ll be writing an update soon on how things are going but I will say that as of today Miles’ ears are HEALED (though he is getting another stuff nose, darn it!) and those concerns about his socialization have for the most part, gone away for now that he can hear better. More on that later. Have a great week!

My goodness. You and your little family are adorable. That video of little miss Jocelyn with that cart is hilarious. I think your narration totally makes it 500 times funnier too! 🙂

The video of Jocelyn is the cutest thing! I love your excited/proud voice in the background. It makes it all that much sweeter!

Love the videos!! Little Joss is so cute walking around pushing that thingy. Early walkers are just so cute and tiny. I walked at 9 mths. myself. 😉
