week of celebrations

Ok, so has anybody noticed I”ve been a bit of a grouch on my blog lately? Yea, things are a little nutty AND I am detoxing caffeine, but it’s alllll good tonight. I’m turning my frown upside down and I have LOTS of personal stuff to share. I haven’t posted client work in a while…

Happy Birthday to your dad!!! I can’t tell you how cute those pics of your mom, dad and Miles are! Prescious! And the one of him staring at the cake is hilarious!!! 🙂

HOW do you get your colors soo crazy bright?! I feel like mine are always so dull and greyish. Do you use actions?

  • Sherry SmithSeptember 23, 2008 - 8:38 pm

WOW..that was a super blog..Does anyone see who Miles takes after???

  • Karen FisherSeptember 23, 2008 - 9:52 pm

Um, hello! Bring on the professional cleaners! I hear you on that aspect. I did that a while ago and I won’t be stopping anytime soon. Looks like you had fun at the Zable’s!

  • KristinSeptember 24, 2008 - 12:39 am

Goodness, I was getting so frustrating refreshing and not having two new blog posts a day. You know you are my addiction and I cannot do without. Continue to blog, please, more. Love ya.

reading your blog is always a fun few minutes of my day… and i just have to say… I’m not sure what flower i dislike more… Carnations or Chrysanthemums… the latter is known in Australia as the mothers day flower… but i REFUSE to buy them for my mum… As they have the reputation for the flower that people buy LAST minute from the side of the road… sure they’re fresh… But they don’t smell very nice in my opinion! haha… that’s my .02 anyway!

  • Christen Pettit MillerJune 13, 2011 - 6:51 pm

Amen, sister. I’m not a fan of carnations either…

it’s 2:19 AM and i’m doing unfun stuff

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! I need to go to bed but I HAD to get one more thing off my plate. If you can’t tell, having a photography business means doing un-fun stuff too sometimes, which is what I had to do tonight. I’m sooooo that artsy fartsy girl that grumbles through the neccessary, but boring, organizational side…

  • CandiceSeptember 25, 2008 - 10:51 pm

Ha ha! I soooo do the slumber party chatter with my hubby at 2- 3 am too. Our favorite? Talking about random 80’s and 90’s songs from our childhoods/high school years and debating EXACTlY what year that song came out…. Live’s ‘Lightening Crashes’? Totally 1994, I say! 🙂

Kindermusik was awesome!!!!

Loved it! I’m so glad we got in on the first day and we’ll be going until the middle of January. It’s so hands on and was perfect. We even got one of these to take home. A stir xylophone. Gotta love party favors. Gotta run, bussssy day. PS Don’t forget, Johhny Appleseed Festival is…

Betsy, Your photography is beautiful. I’m a Hoosier at heart, so could not help looking up your blog and reading a bit. I was moved by your stories…and of course by your photos. Intrigued by your switch to Kindermusik from another music class. Hoping that you and Miles continue to enjoy Kindermusik–and that you’ll write to let us know about your experiences. We are VERY passionate about creating wonderful parent-child experiences for families like yours…and any feedback you have will help us do that!

John got a new pair of sneaks last night while we were out on the town for our anniversary (again, more on that later) and Miles’ new pair of See Kai Run shoes finalllly came in the mail today. They are a PERFECT fit and the cutest thing ever. The best thing is, they aren’t…

Is that Lane Middle School you were at? I recognize it because we live so close. Sorry the music class was a bummer. Was it through the Parks Dept.? Let me know what you think of the Kindermusik program once you start. I have always been interested in that. Have a great weekend!

Those shoes are so fun! And I know a really awesome podiatrist who will agree with you on using flexible shoes while the little kiddos are young. Beauty and function…what more could you ask for.

  • Christen Pettit MillerJune 13, 2011 - 6:48 pm

I totally remember that class…and remember walking to the car and watching you all take pictures afterward!

when i went and stayed with my brother’s family, i went through major caffeine withdrawal as they do not drink coffee at all. it was a serious struggle. i think my morning coffee is what keeps me from napping in the afternoons because i napped hard while i was there. good luck with the detox–a clean life is overrated. 😉

  • holliSeptember 19, 2008 - 6:30 pm

  • heidiSeptember 19, 2008 - 10:37 pm
