guess who used their feet as brakes all summer?

Yep, Miles has mastered the running bike and if these shoes are any evidence that the kid needs a big boy bike with actual brakes, I don’t know what is! Needless to say, little sis won’t be inheriting Miles’ old Toms. Those shoes have GREAT SUMMER written all over them though, don’t you think? PS…

more disney fun

While touring Disney one afternoon, there was a crowd gathered around the sword in the stone. People were trying to pull it out and getting photos doing so. Our buddy Ken gave it try, to no avail. A cast member gave it a whirl, but to no avail. Miles walked right up and BOOM, out…

So cute! It must have been that pirate strength! For future Disney vacations, certain times of the year they have free dining but it books up fast. It includes 2 meals and 1 snack/ day per each person over 3. ALL the restaurants are included in it, including character meals. That is what we plan on doing next year, i’ve heard the meals on site can cost as much as the room sometimes!

I seriously love reading these Disney stories! Would love to hear and see more. So magical, glad you guys are sold on Disney too!

OMG that shot of both Ken and the hilarious looking tour guide (he’s Ira Glass’s twin!) are cracking me up and then you get to Miles and that is PRECIOUS. Like, maybe somehow a computer knows when a four-year-old is up who will most appreciate pulling that sword out 🙂

Either way, it’s been fun reliving this trip with you! Wish we were neighbors so I could come hear about it in person!

    Hugs, G

miles’ induction into the disney pirate’s league

Miles LOVES pirates. I have no idea how it got started, but he’s a huge fan. So when he saw that you could be made over into a REAL pirate at Disney World, he was ALL OVER IT. On our first full day at the park, we headed to the Pirate’s League for Miles’ big…

  • […] joked in an earlier post that a photo of me on the tea cup ride at Disney was my October self portrait. Yes, indeed, October […]

we went. we’re home. let’s sleep.

Our trip to Disney was so magical (I’m sorry, there is no other word!) and precious that we can’t help but feel so sad to be home. Do you remember that homesick feeling you had as a kid when you got home from Summer camp? Yea, the kids are still on a high from Disney… Related Posts Plugin for WordPress, Blogger...

  • JenniferOctober 18, 2011 - 11:26 am

Disney depression is the worst! I think it took me even longer to recover this past time. Can’t wait to see the pics though!

  • KelliOctober 18, 2011 - 12:57 pm

We’ve been to Disneyland 2 times, both times in Oct/Nov. and this year we are having major withdrawals. Our kids are older, and I am pretty sure we love Disneyland more than they do. I love how clean it is! It really is the happiest place on earth! Everyone there wants to be there. I know people complain about the commercialism of Disney, but I don’t give a fig! I’d live there if I could.
