My awesome and super sweet graphic designer, Ryan of Second Street Creative, gave a photography session with me to his sister as a gift last fall. (Talk about a huge honor!)
His sister, Michelle, had already contacted me to do a shoot so it was doubly fun to do a session that not only the people in it wanted, but that their family wanted too!
We decided to wait until her son Logan was around six months for his shoot. For those of you with babies, that is the great time for a shoot in the first year of their life. They can usually sit up on their own, are expressive and usually can’t crawl or walk away from you. I know lots of people put a big emphasis on the one year shoot, but for me, six months is really the biggie. (If you look at my own family photos, seven months was when we got this all time favorite shot of Miles.)
So let’s get to Logan and his family. He’s just a precious little punkin and a total doll! Don’t you just want to SQUEEZE him?
Another tip I learned from my own family’s experience was babies are happiest when they don’t have any clothes on. (As long as they are warm.) We tested that theory at Logan’s shoot and found it to be totally true. I had to include the photo of Logan burying his face in the blankie with his back to us. It was so cute! Oh and that one on the lower right is total Gerber baby face, don’t you think?
All of the smiles in this photo are just GOLD. The happiness on Michelle and Jeremy’s faces just make my heart so happy.
These photos just make me smile from ear to ear. Michelle and Jeremy, I hope you (and your family) love the photos! Here’s your slideshow with music written by my husband, John.
