Wow..Bets, this is just so perfect and so you.

So what it’s like to watch your son grow up in 4 minutes? Geez… I can’t BELIEVE how much older he looks from the start of the slideshow to the end. Can’t wait to see the AMAZING images in store for you in ’09! And I hope we can work together too!

  • BetsyJanuary 12, 2009 - 2:07 pm

If you are watching this video on a slower computer, it will take a few seconds to load some of the photos and then flip through like 5 photos at a time. So hang in there, the second time it goes through it works fine.

    Thanks for watching!

  • SelenaJanuary 12, 2009 - 2:13 pm

  • Sherry SmithJanuary 17, 2009 - 1:50 am

Miles is not only cute, smart and adorable, he is quite a little gentleman, with a darling sweet, tender, almost shy personality. You just want to squeeze him tight. Anyway that is what a very proud grandma thinks. John and Betsy really are great parents.

  • Carly HackFebruary 11, 2009 - 5:21 am

That is totally cool! I love it – so inspiring and funny and beautiful all rolled into one! Your work is fabulous.

my 24-7 on call model

As I mentioned the other night, I’m switching photo management software. I got enough people to ask me which one, so I’ll share that I’m switching from Aperture to Lightroom. I have to say, I just wish the two would get married so I could use their offspring for my work. Lightroom has some snazzy…

  • LindsayJanuary 8, 2009 - 3:59 pm

Honestly…..can he get any cuter!?! =)

  • DoodleBunz/DB ImpressionsJanuary 8, 2009 - 5:57 pm

Holy smokes Betsy…I didn’t realize HOW blue his eyes are…they’re just stunning. He kind of gets cuter everday, doesn’t he?? Not that he wasn’t a doll from the start but…. dang!!

  • robinJanuary 8, 2009 - 7:09 pm

Please enter these in some contest, I don’t know what contest, but PLEASE enter them. He MUST win! When I saw the last photo I immediately noticed John in him. It’s the eyes. • AbraJanuary 9, 2009 - 2:17 am

OH MY!! I don’t think he could get any stinking cuter. And his CHEEKS! How do you go through the day not devouring them up?…or at least pinching them 1,000 times?

  • CassieJanuary 9, 2009 - 3:13 am

  • SteveJanuary 13, 2009 - 4:48 pm

I believe that first look is known as “Magnum” and the second one is “Ferrari.” I tried to work on “Blue Steel” with Miles at Christmas, but he insisted on eating a cookie instead.

this post is as late as our cards were

I know it’s the first week in January and Christmas is starting to be a long lost memory. However, it’s going to be showing up on our Credit card statements pretty soon so we might as well keep talking about it, right? I wanted to share the Christmas cards we sent out this year. Though…

I LOVE your card! Just wondering where you had it printed! Is it a linen stock? Did they fold them+score them or did you have to do that? I just love it!

  • AmandaJanuary 6, 2009 - 11:08 pm

Very, very cute and fun! I love it! The quotes from the Christmas songs are really sweet and very fitting with the pics too. =)

I didn’t even feign to think about sending out cards this year, eeek! Maybe someday I’ll feel creative and motivated at the same time, and that time will be around the holidays. HAHAHA.

  • Dennis BullockJanuary 6, 2009 - 11:33 pm

    It looks great Betsy!

  • annieJanuary 6, 2009 - 11:35 pm

it was a very cute card indeed – i am ashamed to say i did notice the knit pattern, but didn’t connect the dots with the hat – but it makes sense now… where did you get it printed btw – the quality was great.

  • rebecca-linh rodgersJanuary 7, 2009 - 12:56 am

merry late holidays! your cards are as adorable as your family.

  • Jess (studio3z)January 7, 2009 - 1:01 am

I loved your card….and since I knew how much you loved the striped hat, I caught on to the “theme” on the front cover pretty quick. πŸ™‚ We did the same card last year, and when I went to do a different one this yr, I couldn’t. (You will see soon enough for yourself.) It is such a cool layout!

  • Maya LaurentJanuary 7, 2009 - 1:53 am

I love it! The colors totally rock!

  • GailJanuary 7, 2009 - 1:38 pm

I noticed the knit!!!! Girl, you crack me up. “Didn’t have much time to put cards together”…and then you come up with this AWESOME design! The only other Xmas card in our dining room that’s gotten as many comments as yours is Bobbi+Mike’s!!! The pressure is on for next year now, you know that right? πŸ™‚

  • SaraJanuary 7, 2009 - 2:26 pm

I saw your card at the MJC office!! It is absolutely adorable!

  • LeandraJanuary 8, 2009 - 4:21 am

    Absolutely adorable!

remember the gift that was smarter than me?

Miles has stolen it for his blankie. In his defense, they are the same color. I’m kind of figuring out how to use it, though I think I have to sew another button on it to make it work and stay on my neck. The cold weather is motivating me to find a way to…

That’s just too much of a coincidence! I did dream of puppies last night! Only my one puppy multiplied into two and chewed his way threw his kennel and dug holes in to my hardwood floors, really more like a nightmare. too funny. What is your new photo management software?

  • AprilJanuary 6, 2009 - 4:00 pm

I’m in the exact same place right now. My husband and I spent last night talking about new accounting plans & I thought my head was going to implode trying to take it all in. I have tons of new plans for this year that I’m so excited about, but it’s stressful all the same. I’m just like you with the procrastination thing. Glad to know it’s because I’m creative πŸ™‚ I’d love to know what photo management software you’re using as well. Good luck with everything!

  • Jess (studio3z)January 6, 2009 - 8:19 pm

you got lightroom didn’t you!?? πŸ™‚ good move if ya did.

  • Maya LaurentJanuary 7, 2009 - 1:54 am

Why does new pricing and all of that stuff have to make us dream about it? You can’t get away from it!!! Dying to know what you got? Is Jess right…LightRoom?

  • LeandraJanuary 8, 2009 - 4:26 am

My husband and me talk business everywhere! We’ll have a date night and end up talking pricing. It’s impossible to escape!

more proof of my distraction as of late

I swear I”m working on my info for this upcoming season. I have a list of the sweetest most patient people waiting for me to release my 2009 pricing and crack open my books to start getting people on my calendar. I’m still working on it though. And what do creative people do when they… Related Posts Plugin for WordPress, Blogger...

  • CassieJanuary 4, 2009 - 5:56 am

Oh my gosh, I had to watch the second one twice because of your ‘moo’. That just killed me. He is getting so big!

  • Katie BeverleyJanuary 4, 2009 - 3:43 pm

Oh my gosh, these are adorable! Miles is a genius! My hubbie and I were cracking up during the second one because Miles runs just like Johnny does and then when you stood there and moo’d while John went running it was totally what I would have done too! Hahahaa

  • Anne WoehnkerJanuary 4, 2009 - 6:56 pm

Hey Betsy and John;) My favorite part of the video is hearing his tiny feet pitter-patter across the kitchen floor! What a DOLL!!!!! You are two VERY lucky people! Happy New Year:) Anne

  • LeighJanuary 5, 2009 - 1:17 am

You are so refreshing and real. Thank you for sharing honesty and making me feel not so bad about exactly the same stuff – procrastinating and messing around – like looking at your blog when I should be updating my website. Cheers to 2009!

  • ida in QCJanuary 5, 2009 - 1:43 pm

So much fun!! Bailey (20 months) laughed a lot at the “moo”-part. πŸ™‚

    I wish you a great 2009!

  • Maya LaurentJanuary 5, 2009 - 4:19 pm

I so need to do our videos! And it would take me away from my business stuff I need to do too but oh well…creative right? πŸ™‚

  • Jess (studio3z)January 5, 2009 - 4:36 pm

HAAA!!! I hear ya on the procrastination part. You have some guts putting that on here. More than me. πŸ™‚ But soo soo soo true.

Your second video just cracked me up. Glad no one got hurt. We have had many similar situations …but your moooing was oh so unique and it made me laugh! You guys are so adorable.

  • LeandraJanuary 5, 2009 - 11:59 pm

Wow, I’m not alone! Sometimes I feel like a total failure for NEVER being caught up on everything! It’s hard being your own boss sometimes.

  • CandiceJanuary 12, 2009 - 3:37 pm

Oh yikes! I am LOL at your ::ahem:: ‘moo’ though! I’m guessing it was supposed to be one of those slow motion “Noooooooooooo” kind of things?

  • John E.January 13, 2009 - 4:38 am

Oh my gosh – that is too funny. Miles is such a ham! I can’t wait until Jackson gets a little older. You guys have so much fun!
