Love it!! That is such a great capture! I haven’t visited the blog in a while–love the whole new look. Very nice. (Found you on the prophoto blog site and bookmarked you b/c I love your work.)

a different take on the paperplate handprint card

We couldn’t help but open John’s Father’s Day gift early. It’s a 20X20 inch canvas gallery wrap of a scanned-in handprint Miles created this past winter. (Usually gallery wraps are made of photographs, and I do carry them as an option for my client’s images.) John has been saying for a long time he wants…

Betsy, that is seriously beautiful! I just wish I had one from each of my kids! I’d hang them in a series. I love the simplicity of it! Really, really love it!

  • ErickaJune 19, 2009 - 3:39 pm

Likey!? I would TOTALLY buy this and he’s not even my kid! Awesome! …..and just wait until Miles is in school and brings home all of those great paintings he’ll do in class. I SWEAR I have saved every. single. one. my kids have brought home. I’m sure this is an illness of some sort. I should Google it. =)

  • ErickaJune 19, 2009 - 3:39 pm

I think it looks pretty groovy in this chair!! I’d leave it there. LOL

  • Eileen BroderickJune 22, 2009 - 2:51 am

Ooh…what a fabulous idea! So much of my son’s artwork ends up in a big bin under my bed! That probably sounds bad but I can’t bring myself to get rid of most of it and have not figured out a great way to showcase it either! This is brilliant. And beautiful.

becca, aka, bb

Introducing, beautiful Becca. John nicknamed me BB a long time ago, for Beautiful Betsy, so Becca, consider yourself nicknamed. I’m such a hyper person, but Becca has this stillness in her being that I think comes across as so peaceful. Is anyone surprised that Becca got a TON of cat calls from passerbys? Bless her,…

Well, wow!! Becca is obviously gorgeous (and totally fashionable), and Betsy, you did an amazing job showing her off.

  • GailJune 18, 2009 - 12:47 pm

Okay, so I’ve decided. You, my dear, are a painter with light. What I love most about your photos is when you nail that look. A look that’s almost like, I’m looking at a Rembrandt painting or something. And that is definitely the case with this session.

Getting all goofy on ya, but all that to say that you do FABULOUS work! Go give those other senior Fort Wayne photogs a run for their money 😉

  • Jessica FikeJune 18, 2009 - 1:00 pm

Lovely, lovely, lovely. What an amazing senior portrait collection Becca will have! Way to go, Betsy!

new addition to our patio

please excuse my temporary insanity last evening with the three posts, two of them being requests for shopping help. I get a little odd late in the evening. (Yep, it’s just in the evening.) Though don’t let that stop you from sending me advice. I think I might ask for shopping advice every day. Do… Related Posts Plugin for WordPress, Blogger...

Mmmm, delicious sand. Nothing is weirder than wiping the boy after going to the bathroom the next day and it being all gritty…Murphy is only just now over sand-eating

  • JenJune 15, 2009 - 3:50 pm

I loved this post! Probably because Evan would totally do the same thing with the neighbor’s toys! You should see him at the pool. He loves to “take” other kids’ noodles, balls, etc. I love the photo of the cars in the sand also. It’s amazing where we find those little cars, huh? I had one hiding in my purse for a week! LOL!

  • MichelleJune 15, 2009 - 4:28 pm

I love his rainbow “leg socks.” (I’m not sure the official term… legwarmers?) Makes great sense if you have the shoes off in the house rule like we have at our house. 🙂

Love that you don’t fence him in. We fenced out kids in. Great for a lot of reasons… but somedays wish we hadn’t.

  • melJune 15, 2009 - 4:53 pm

where the heck did you find those rainbow leggins for boys? those rock. i can rest assured now that if i have a boy, he can still wear rainbow tights! 🙂 yes!!

  • GailJune 15, 2009 - 5:45 pm

Ummm yeah, so just for the record, your son and I have the SAME LIME GREEN CROCS!!!! Ahh..that is HILARIOUS! I’m tempted to bring them with me the next time I see you guys so you can get a picture of me and Miles together in them (mine have been munched on by the dog, but still…) Cute post girl!

  • Jenny RebeccaJune 16, 2009 - 1:17 am

  • aprylJune 16, 2009 - 6:39 pm

  • grandmaJune 16, 2009 - 11:46 pm

Oh My What Fun!!! I wish you had all that on video..how funny.I love the one where he is draggin home the toys…How did you get the sand out of his mouth? Gramma

  • Maya LaurentJune 19, 2009 - 4:11 am

Ohhhh…we might need to try that sand table to keep Zane in the yard too. He was looking at this with me earlier (and I didn’t comment thing- forgive me) and screamed CARS! SAND! We seriously need to get the boys together. And Miles…you have such good style!
