an autumn afternoon with katie

The last senior session of the year for me (so sad to be done for the year…but there’s always spring seniors!) was a sunny, but chilly, afternoon with Katie. The wind may have been cold, but I LOVE how it showed off her gorgeous hair. Katie did amazingly in the wind. I literally had tears…

    HAhaha!! Betsy!

We went to our daughter’s first P/T conference when my daughter was in preschool (9 years ago!!) and they pointed out that she couldn’t skip. WHAT!?!?!!?! It was awful and wouldn’t you know we spent the next week at home teaching her to skip! πŸ˜‰ It’s all worked out. She’s 12 now… is super smart and a ballet dancer! πŸ˜‰ I’m sure they will have nothing but GREAT things to say about Miles. πŸ™‚

  • Mark W.November 10, 2009 - 12:43 pm

Ok, so it’s no secret that I”ve been crazy stressed lately. I wear my heart on my sleeve and let’s face it, on Twitter too. (Not that everybody follows me on Twitter or anything.) I had some stuff going on for a couple of weeks and it all dumped on me at once and it…

That is TOTALLY one of those photos of John where if he didn’t love you so much he’d be like, ‘BETSSSSYYYYYYYYYY!’

Too, too cute. Next time I stop by (and I will ;), I’ll ask Miles the difference between a violin and viola. I TOTALLY expect him to know the difference. HA!

  • Sara HarveyNovember 9, 2009 - 7:28 am

Love the picture of John with the violin!!! The expression on his face cracks me up every time I see it! Thanks for sharing πŸ™‚

  • jess@studio3zNovember 9, 2009 - 8:32 am

so so sweet. πŸ˜‰ love the shot of John- reminds me of Brett. (they would so get along) good to hear you are de-funking…i know how bad that sucks.

  • CarrieNovember 9, 2009 - 8:47 am

Betsy I love how you capyure these special moments between Miles and John. Each photo brings a little tear to my eye seeing the pure love that John has for him. Miles is such a sweety and you are a very blessed woman. Thanks for sharing!

  • aprilNovember 9, 2009 - 3:29 pm

Perfect timing on the pug picture!!! LOVE it! And of course Miles, what a cutie!

  • Lynsey TNovember 9, 2009 - 5:00 pm

I can TOTALLY relate. I wear my heart on my sleeve as well…when I’m stressed to the max, it shows. Glad you’re doing better. Adorable pictures!

  • Maya LaurentNovember 9, 2009 - 5:00 pm

I had a friend tell me something like that recently too. Wow, it puts things in perspective doesn’t it? So hard with these businesses to not just so consumed by them and stressed out! Hoping the good vibes continue and less stress is on it’s way to you!

monday afternoon UPS delivery

When the King family gets something from UPS, do we just break the box down and throw it in the recycling bin? Pssh, yea right. You have to make a robot first! How cute is Miles’ lip popping out as he peeps through the opening? By the way, the robot idea was John’s. I love…

i love that you’re a mom first, photographer second. i love that. right now i’m photographer first, second, and third. and i hate it. πŸ™ and i’m working to make some changes so i can bring some joy back into my life! (like my husband, our puppy, and our two persian cat monsters!)

    you inspire me. πŸ™‚

  • jodieNovember 6, 2009 - 7:08 am

Great idea! Although, most boxes that come here are so flat for prints I might have to get really creative to make my kids fit in there! πŸ™‚

  • GailNovember 6, 2009 - 8:51 am

That kid is so so sooo cute it just kills me. Hugs to all the Kings in that house πŸ™‚

  • Lindsay HackettNovember 6, 2009 - 9:53 am

Does John always dress so spiffy working at home? His shirt is even tucked it! Wow! I would be dressed like Miles everyday! =)

  • Tori PiercyNovember 8, 2009 - 11:58 pm

That last one has me cracking up! Too cute!

  • AmandaNovember 9, 2009 - 2:13 pm

Love it! Boxes are play things in our house often until they fall apart or start looking so ridiculously scraggly (is that a word?) that I have to give them the heave-ho. πŸ˜‰ Bless your heart Betsy!

madeline, a little peek

I got to spend yesterday afternoon with a girl who by the end of the shoot I realized could be my long lost little sister. She has the same job I had while in high school, we both have similar hair styles (and hate our naturally curly hair) are both the youngest of 3, and…

I photograph teens from a wide range of high schools, but I’m telling you, it doesn’t matter what school a senior is from, nine times out of ten, they know Jenna & Amy. I’m not surprised at all because first of all, they are striking together. Totally unforgettable. Then you get to know them and… Related Posts Plugin for WordPress, Blogger...
