Oh Johnny Appleseed Festival, how we love you so. The kids have grown to look forward to this event with Christmas-like anticipation and in this time of video games and Disney princesses, it really is precious that they can still relish in the simple delights of simple wooden carnival games, pioneer crafters and fresh squeezed apple cider. These truly are the sweetest times of our life. I took less photos this year as my hands were very full with the kiddos, but here’s a little peek into our day at the festival.
Miles brought his bank from home to buy himself a bow and arrow. It was so cute to see him carry around his bank, that he made for his lemonade stand last spring, around the festival.
It didn’t take Joss long to realize the huge jawbreaker wasn’t a good choice.
Here’s an archive of all of the festivals I have blogged. So many precious memories!
Johnny Appleseed: 2009 (The one with the best slideshow narrated by Miles)
See you next year Johnny Appleseed festival! It’s always a bit easier to take the new chill in the air when it was celebrated with our favorite family event.
Every time I go to the festival I think of the recording of Miles’ little voice! I love that picture of Jossy’s not-so-sure face on that ride, so funny!
